Lots of great stuff so far this morning, but the World Saxophone Quartet – currently celebrating their 30th year playing together – are attempting to blow out the glass walls of the Wintergarden with a fiery full set of free jazz. As Charlie, my new friend from Brighton Beach who’s been here all night, says: "You’d pay $35 plus a minimum to hear these guys at the Vanguard." Awesome.
