One year ago today, I wrote my first Feast of Music entry, about a concert I’d heard the night before at Carnegie by the Minnesota Orchestra. In the 258 posts since that slightly-awkward beginning, I’ve had highs and lows, seen young and old, heard loud and soft – with hardly ever a dull moment. I hope you’ve enjoyed participating in the journey, and have gotten out there and heard some stuff you might not have otherwise.
In that first post, my friend Tom advised me to "stay away from stuffiness." I don’t know if I’ve always been right or articulate in my observations, but I’d like to think I at least managed to stick to that.
Thanks to everyone who’s stopped by, made comments, offered advice. You’ve all contributed to this site’s ongoing improvement, and I’m deeply grateful. Can’t wait to see what it looks like another year from now.
There are several exciting developments on the near horizon, so please stay tuned. And, tell your friends.

It seems silly to congratulate someone for keeping their blog going for a *whole year* but in this case I think it’s appropriate. The sheer volume of high quality work is really something when you take a step back.
As your friend, I’m biased, but I have enough friends in the ‘arts’ (don’t we all) that I don’t throw out unsolicited compliments for the hell of it.
So, well done, Pete. Keep it up.

I looked for a “Now That You Are One” card, but…
Seriously, congrats and best wishes for a hearty future “feast.”
