I'm in Saratoga this weekend, enjoying the beautiful weather and elegant scene here at the Race Course, even though I don't happen to be winning at the moment. Out back near the paddock, you can find all kinds of entertainment – deliberate and not – such as this excellent dixieland band, complete with Saratoga-Red bass. Later tonight, the Philadelphia Orchestra will be filling the air with Dvorak and Rachmaninoff over at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center. And, after that, there are sure to be all kinds of rock, jazz and blues downtown. And, we get to repeat it all again tomorrow. Not a bad way to spend a late-summer weekend.
