How's this for a way to end your week: Todd P and Sterogum's Brandon Stosuy have teamed up to put on this Haiti benefit tonight at Above the Auto Parts Store in Bushwick, featuring a crazy quilt of musicians and pamphleteers (incl. Alex Ross, Björk , Dave Longstreth, and Tyondai Braxton) spinning their favorite records. Your guess is as good as mine as to exactly what's going to happen, but acc. to Alex, it could be a weird combination of Thai soul and nude Stravinsky. Yum.
Unfortunately, the event is completely sold out, but stop by and you might just get lucky. As for myself, I'll be over at Glasslands, hoping I can stay up late enough to catch Truman Peyote (it didn't work out so well two weeks ago at Surreal Estate.)
