I've made my first new discovery of the day at the Austin Ventures Stage: The Strange Boys, a quirky Austin foursome that plays retro rock and 60s pop, with shreiking vocals and heart-thumping bass lines. They're like your favorite hipster Brooklyn band, filtered through Nashville. A bit rough, but I like it lots.
Speaking of Brooklyn, I'm off next to the Dell stage to catch the tail end of Yeasayer's set, who I last saw across town last year at the FunFunFun Fest. Good to see them movin up in the world.
