St. Vincent Closes Out Celebrate Brooklyn in Prospect Park

Sadly, I've been out of town for the past two weeks and therefore didn't get to see St. Vincent's free show in Prospect Park Saturday night to close out the 2014 edition of Celebrate Brooklyn! But, all indications are that it was a fitting bookend to Janelle Monae's epic opening performance in June. St. Vincent (a.k.a. Annie Clark) channeled the same futurepunk M.O. as Monáe, with her shock of silver hair, robotic movements and a futurisitic set of stacked pyramids. The crowd, many of whom waited for more than six hours to get in, was apparently more than willing to go along with Annie's antics and occasional onstage ramblings. Sounds like it was a beautiful night to be in Brooklyn.

Fortunately, WFUV was there and streamed the entire show live, which you can listen to above in case you also missed it. Full setlist below.
