2013 Avery Fisher Career Grant winner Itamar Zorman performs the Brahms Violin Concerto this weekend with the plucky Greenwich Village Orchestra, as conducted by Barbara Jahr. This concert will truly be a family affair for Zorman: In addition to the concerto, the Galilean Suite by the violinist's father, composer Moshe Zorman, will also be featured. Tchaikovsky's Romeo and Juliet Fantasy Overture rounds out the program.
The concert takes place at 3 p.m. at Washington Irving Auditorium in the East Village; $15 suggested donation.
