“David Bowie was our hero. Intelligent, talented and with the desire to create a really new different rock…When he died, I was shocked like everybody else….I hadn’t realized how much he meant to me throughout most of my life. I think somehow knowing he was here, was like having a muse.” – Glenn Branca
Experimental musician Glenn Branca, who's written everything from chamber music to symphonies for 100 guitars, returns to Roulette this Saturday with a new work written in tribute to his friend and occasional collaborator, David Bowie. Appearing with his ensemble, Branca will also perform a new version of "The Third Ascension." Expect it to get loud. Tickets and info on the Roulette website.
