Q: Where, on a single bill, can you see two leading authors, the leading comic of the indie rock world, a prolific singer-songwriter about to release his 10th studio album, and the scion of one of the great American musical families (and no slouch in her own right)?
A: John Wesley Harding's Cabinet of Wonders, which had it's most recent installment last night at Le Poisson Rouge. Somewhere between variety show and highbrow literary salon, Harding somehow makes it work with his charming, outgoing personality.
Harding is packing up and taking the show on the road with comedian Eugene Mirman. rebranding the show: "Wes and Eugene's Cabinet of Wonders." First stop: next week's SXSW. More pics (including Mirman's musical debut!) below.
