GRAMMYs 2014 Preview

Apologies for the ad—you can thank the Times—but just had to share this tender, sweet improv by Caroline Shaw, who is making her way to L.A. as we speak with the rest of Roomful of Teeth for the 56th annual GRAMMYs on Sunday. Unfortunaltely, Teeth, who are up for three awards, won't be on the primetime broadcast, but you can watch their live performance here from 4:00–6:00 p.m.

Some other local favorites we'll be cheering for on Sunday include Darcy James Argue for Best Large Jazz Ensemble Album (Brooklyn Babylon), The National for Best Alternative Music Album (Trouble Will Find Me), and the New York Phil for  Best Classical Instrumental Solo and Best Contemporary Classical Composition (Magnus Lindberg's Second Piano Concerto, with Fima).
