For a long time now, Feast of Music has surveyed the multifaceted New York music scene: everything from grand orchestra concerts to grungy indie rock shows. There's never been a dull moment, but after three years of attending other people's shows, it's time for a new challenge. And so, I'm excited to announce Feast of Music Presents: a new monthly showcase to be held at Littlefield here in Park Slope/Gowanus, featuring the same eclectic mix of jams you've come to know and love in these pages.
The first show on April 15 will feature violinist/composer Tom Swafford, ambient, post-rock duo itsnotyouitsme (Caleb Burhans and Grey MacMurray), Toronto-based pianist/electronic musician John Kameel Farah, and up-and-coming indie band SAADI. Tickets are $8 in advance and are available online; more details to come.

Pete, congrats! Wishing you much success with this new direction.
