As it turns out, the real Mischief and Mayhem was at the Siren Kickoff Party at 450 Union Street in Gowanus last night, where Israeli madmen Monotonix nearly incited a riot in their underwear, eschewing the stage to play in the center of a mosh pit lubricated with sweat, blood and free tequila drinks sponsored by a certain Japanese auto manufacturer. At one point, caveman-like lead singer Ami Shalev hopped up on the bar, mooned the audience, and seemed ready to drop trou entirely before launching into yet another wild thrash. One of the most dangerous and thrilling shows I've seen in a long time. (More pics on Flickr.)

It would have seemed more dangerous if it wasn’t sponsored by ” a certain Japanese auto manufacturer”
