Veteran jazz guitarist Dave Stryker played a pair of funk-filled sets at Jazz Standard last night. Supporting his 23rd album as leader, Blue to the Bone, Stryker played with a septet that included Hammond B3, drums, bass, and a full brass section. On "Get On Up," Stryker might not have had JB's high-pitched scream, but he definitely had the groove down.
