Preview: Roosevelt Dime at the Brooklyn Waterfront Museum

RD BBG 1Picture this: there’s a cold beer in your hand, the sea breeze in your hair. A melodic banjo washes over your ears, followed by a long, cool, soulful wail. This is no stuffy dive bar. This is the great outdoors, and it's pure America.

Extend your July 4th celebrations an extra week by seeing rhythm and blues rockers Roosevelt Dime play next Thursday night at the Brooklyn Waterfront Museum in Red Hook, Brooklyn. The four-piece had their beginnings on the streets of New York, attracting the attention of passers-by with their infectious blend of New Orleans rhythms, fat-back blues guitar, honky-tonk harmonies and deliciously dirty R&B vocals. Progressing from street corners to festival stages across the country, Roosevelt Dime are continuing their rise with their latest release Full Head of Steam. It’s full of rhythmic banjo, laid-back percussion and a New York drawl softened by the rolling hills of Appalachia. Renowned for their high-energy shows and labeled “A perpetual crowd-pleaser” by The New York Times, this show isn’t one to miss.

Did we mention it’s on a boat? Tickets available online or at the door.
