Before you run for the hills imagining thousands of screaming teenagers crowded around a halfpipe, realize that this is Vans House Parties—not the Warped tour. While the shows understandably veer towards the punk side of things—it is still Brooklyn. The series, now in its 4th year, continues to gain traction, bringing a variety of acts to grace the renovated Greenpoint warehouse the festival calls home. Of late, the free shows (which you have to RSVP for) have been selling out within hours of going live, with headliners Future Islands, Omar Souleyman, and Holy Ghost!
