Less Than a Pint of Beer

Nav_chlogo_onFor the unbelievable price of $5, you can purchase the best seat in the house to what promises to be a stirring performance at Carnegie Hall tomorrow night. The concert features the Orchestra of St. Luke’s performing several choral works, including Stravinsky’s Symphony of Psalms, Francis Poulenc’s Gloria, and a selection of songs – all conducted by Craig Jessop, the Music Director of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. What’s the catch? There isn’t one – except that the voices will be supplied by four of the top high school choirs in the country, all of which have worked closely with Dr. Jessop for nearly a year in preparation for this performance. Five bucks says you won’t be able to tell the difference.
