It rained all through the Apples In Stereo’s 50 minute set, but that didn’t seem to damper the crowd’s spirit, despite the fact that most didn’t have umbrellas or ponchos. The Denver alt-pop band, touring in support of their new album "New Magnetic Glory," had enough humor to play a number called "Sun Is Out", which, at the time, felt like wishful thinking.
The sun is, in fact, out now, with a full set from storied NYC outfit Television coming up. Television was one of the main residents of CBGB back in the 70’s, along with Blondie, Patti Smith, the Talking Heads and The Ramones, though most of the crowd here wasn’t even born then. Guitarist Richard Lloyd has already announced that this is going to be his last show with the band, so that he can pursue his solo career. Let’s make it count.
