Guest Post: My Bloody Valentine

My friend Rachael made it to Monday night's My Bloody Valentine show at Roseland, their first NYC appearance in more than ten years. Here's her description of what transpired:

"At first, I was like…wtf? I want to be able to hear a little of the
vocals but then they got better toward the second half. And then I was
like, WTF? why is that strobe light consistently blinding me and every
other godforsaken manwomanandchild in Roseland. And then I was
like…'Holy shit, you just played 20 minutes of a single sustained
note and reverb and loudness and I could feel the edges of my nostrils
vibrating and my throat tightening and what an amazing physical
experience so I think, after all, it was a pretty damn good show.' and
it was."

Now, that's what I call a Post. Wish I'd been there.
