You've heard the complaint innumerable times: New York radio sucks. Especially in the morning when you're getting ready for work, and the only decent thing you can get is NPR, which is pre-empted half the time by fundraising. Enter Radio New York (91.1FM), which now simulcasts Seattle indie stalwart KEXP from 6a-12p. This is indie like your momma makes: in the past two days, I've heard Walter Meego, Jamie Lidell, Ra Ra Riot, Jonathan Richman, and dozens of others you won't hear anywhere else on these airwaves. About friggin' time.
