Sometimes, you need to sacrifice music for Geography, and so instead of schlepping out to Ft.Greene on the slim hope of getting into tonight's Broken Social Scene show at the Masonic Temple, I've decided to bump around the L.E.S. to see what I can sniff out. Start at 205 Chrystie, where a NYC outfit called Violent Sex plays an indefinable mashup of dub, funk, jazz and punk. Weird and brave.
