I'd never seen the Dave Matthews Band before their sold-out show last night at Madison Square Garden, and on paper, it looked promising: electric violinist, brass section, high-energy lead singer. But, the music…just…didn't…go…anywhere. I guess this is what you'd call: music for people who don't like music. Nice stage show, though. (More pics below.)

How did the tuba work as a bass instrument for the Roots? Did they also have a bass guitar?
I always thought they were better at an outdoor venue compared to an indoor venue at MSG. Plus, they’re not a musical these days as they used to be. Their peak was in the mid-late 90s
