On a beautiful Sunday afternoon, I pass by The Rex on Queen St. – Toronto's best-known jazz venue – and the dixieland sounds of the Excelsior Jazz Band entice me in. Its a small crowd of mostly old timers, but these gray-hairs could teach the indie kids a thing or two about showmanship. Good stuff. (More pics below.)
