I'm not really sure what "pink" noise is, but Dapinknoise sound like a cross between David Bowie, Kraftwerk, and Tupac (or, according to the comic who introduced them, "like the name of a Dutch chamber orchestra.") Kind of cheesy, but still fun.
Richard, a well-versed local sharing my table, tells me he's been at every Fringe Pop for the past five years, and has seen everyone from Arcade Fire to Think About Life on this tiny park stage. He tells me the next band, Winter Gloves, is one of the hottest bands in town right now – a claim backed up by the packed-in audience gathered behind – and in front – of us. Popolo can wait.
