Not to be confused with last week's music marathon, yesterday's NYC Marathon was a social affair, with friends and family lining the streets to cheer on the 44,000 runners from all over the globe. Along 4th Ave. in Brooklyn, there was also plenty of music, both of the live and canned variety (Rocky, anyone?) The quartet above played Brazilian samba outside a pizza shop, while down the street a rock band played a fun mix of pop and metal. Too bad there aren't more occasions like these to take the music outdoors. (More pics below.)
