I'll be running up and down along upper Broadway again tonight, as both Tully Scope and the Ecstatic Music Festival are hosting don't-miss shows. At Tully, bad-ass contemporary quartet Brooklyn Rider collaborates with Persian music specialist Kayhan Kalhor on a wide-ranging concert that includes world premieres by Philip Glass and BR's own Colin Jacobsen. At Merkin, Owen Pallett will be performing with Nadia Sirota and Doveman, including a new piece Owen's written just for tonight. Hope to see you at one – or both – of them.
