Sam Cohen, frontman of psych-rock outfit Apollo Sunshine, comes to the Mercury Lounge on February 17 with his new band, Yellowbirds. The Yellowbirds' debut album, The Color, is a unique mixture of atmospheric sounds, Jim James-esque vocals, and distorted guitars: quintessential modern rock. Doors for the show (with Woodsman opening) are at 10:30; tickets are $10 and available here.
