Straight from the airport, I made my way to the dusty sandlots of East Austin, where several of today's day parties were just wrapping up as day was turning into night. In quick succession, I managed to see the quiet end to This Will Destroy You's set at Hotel Vegas (hosted by that other blogger from Brooklyn), and SXSW vets Peelander-Z and Japanther, neither of whom I've ever managed to see in the city we all call home. I don't know, it just seems more special down here, somehow. Like a reunion of sorts.
