Of course, it wouldn't be SXSW without Dan Deacon playing a free show outdoors at Cheer Up Charlie's on East 6th Street, in front of a cast of hundreds jumping up and down in electronically-driven bliss. I'll try to remember this scene when I see Dan on Tuesday at Merkin Hall for one of his less sweaty shows.
