On the eve of his performance tomorrow at the Newport Jazz Festival, Eddie Palmieri and his Salsa Orchestra played to a capacity crowd tonight at Celebrate Brooklyn, performing a two hour set that spanned his six decades in latin jazz. At one point, he asked the crowd of 7000+ for requests; when he received an avalanche of responses, he offered to play them all, "if you invite me back to play next year!"
